Sweet Tooth Mouse Card & Inspiration Saturday!

Hi! I thought I'd share a cute card using the September Challenge image from Gerda Steiner Designs - Sweet Tooth Mouse and then give you some crafty weekend inspiration to check out! I really meant to play along with the September challenge earlier this month.... where did September go?!! The cool thing about these challenges are that if you play along and link up you'll get the next month's digi image free! I printed off this adorable little mouse and coloured her up with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers (alcohol based) and then used a Kaisercraft Stitched circle die to cut out the image.

I used the Holiday Baking Mix & Match pad from Canvas Corp Brands to layer papers and corrugated cardboard on my card. I felt like this little mouse would be perfect as a Christmas mouse ready to give away some handmade goodies at the holidays!  This Mix & Match pad is gorgeous and includes papers, recipe cards, burlap, corrugated cardboard and a printed canvas panel - and it's on sale! 😉

I added some glittery Stickles to the batter and spoon and added some fun and sparkly SpiegelMom Scraps sequins!

Now for a bit of inspiration....

1) Gerda Steiner Designs also has a huge collection of digital and clear stamps! You can look through their digi stamps here, with FREEBIE downloads!

2) Lyriclover810 on YouTube has fantastic ideas for creating goodies for craft fairs - perfect for stocking stuffers too! In this video she shows a quick way to use your 6x6 paper pads to create the cutest tea bag holders.

3) Creative Scrapbooker Magazine has a fabulous Photo Prompt a Day list for October! These would be so fun to share for the month!

4) If you're looking for a free alternative to PicMonkey, the iPhone app Over is fabulous for anyone who wants to do some photo editing or needs something to add watermarks to their projects or photos!

Kitty Bee Designs - #104 Water Fun!

Hi Friends! I hope you've been having a lovely week so far! I've had lots of fun creating projects lately and here's one more for you!  It's time for the midweek inspiration for Challenge #104 over at the Kitty Bee Designs Challenge Blog - Aloha Friday!

Challenge #104

Super big thanks to our sponsors for this challenge, Crafty Sentiments Designs and The Paper Shelter!!

Crafty Sentiments Designs - http://www.craftysentimentsdesigns.co.uk

and

The Paper Shelter - http://www.thepapershelter.com

I've used the adorable Fifi's Bubbles digi stamp from Crafty Sentiments as the focal image for my card today. As you can see, Fifi is definitely having fun in her wonderful bubble bath!

I used coloured pencils to colour in the image after printing it on white cardstock and using a stitched square die to cut out the background. The shiny sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps fit perfectly in the bubbles and I even chose a tiny yellow flower sequin to add to her sweet little bathing cap.

The pretty yellow plaid paper is from one of the new Lawn Fawn paper pads and I used some pretty pink BoBunny paper layered on top. The Tim Holtz chit chat stickers are great for adding a quick little sentiment at the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday Challenge to see all the inspiration from the other awesome Design Team members - and enter your own project HERE for a chance to win!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello!! I’ve had a super busy, awesome week- lots of crafty fun as well as play dates and coffee dates! And our weather has been amazing! The kids were wearing shorts, and it was 20* C! I also got the gorgeous Tim Holtz Stamptember Christmas stamp and stencil set from Simon Says Stamp, the new Lawn Fawn Knit Picky paper pad and some new Distress Oxides. So I thought these would be the perfect goodies to create an inky, artsy Christmas Card for this week’s post on the SpiegelMom Scraps Blog, using the new Aquarius, Painted Gardens and Lisa's Starry Night! Combined with some gorgeous Emerald Creek Embossing Powders I think this card shines!!

Kitty Bee Designs - Bath Time Kitty!

Hi! I hope you are all having a fantastic week! I'm posting over at the Kitty Bee Designs blog today using the adorable Bath Time Kitty digital stamp by Kitty Bee Designs. This kitty looks like he's having so much fun in the tub! Kinda like when you're 5 and nothing could be better ;)

I used some coloured pencils to colour in this guy after I printed him on white cardstock and used a stitched tag die from Your Next Stamp. I think a purple tub would be super fun!!

I used papers, gems and ribbons from a BoBunny ephemera pack - so fun to coordinate with - and a little chat sticker from Tim Holtz. A few sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps finish off my cute card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you are having a fantastic week!!

SpiegelMom Scraps - Coffee Canvas!

Hi friends! I'm posting on the SpiegelMom Scraps blog today and sharing this cool coffee canvas I painted while my girls & I were at Michaels recently. We dropped in and Michaels was providing the paint when you purchased a canvas. I opened Pinterest and found a coffee sign I liked and just hand sketched it and started painting! I think when you don't overthink it and just have fun with some things they end up being some of the things you like the best. And, of course, because I LOVE coffee, I love how this turned out! 💙

Here's a look at what my girlies painted - and how the canvas looked before I added the words and awesome SpiegelMom Scraps Aquarius Sequin Mix! Amie painted a sunset, and Erica painted popsicles with ears!

Scrap 'N Stamp - Stamptember Blog Hop!

Hello friends!! I'm back today with a fun blog hop as a Guest Designer with my friends at Scrap 'N Stamp! If you've arrived here from Tara at the Scrap 'N Stamp blog, you're in the right place as she's at the start of the hop. We are all sharing projects today using the amazing Memory Box Postage Stamp Die, which is on SALE right now for 25% off!!

I was really impressed with how nicely this die was able to cut through my cardstock. And, I loved that it not only cuts 5 individual stamps, but also has a border die included that I used around the edges of my larger background layer. I added some Prima postage patterned paper from my stash and used a ribbon and one of the awesome vintage light bulb charms from the Maya Road - Ken Oliver Vintage Bulbs and Keys embellishments.

I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Love Letters stamps set and stamp directly onto the Recollections Watercolour patterned paper I was using. I used some Prismacolor coloured pencils to colour in the images and added a couple of adorable envelopes.

Inside and on the envelope, I added another diecut postage stamp - I'm thinking these would be adorable on some DIY handmade tags tucked in and stamped on.... 💕And, I added another envelope and some more SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to coordinate with the front of the card.

I really enjoyed making this cute card, which I gave to a wonderful friend in a package of Happy Mail goodies - so really it was the perfectly coordinated card!

Here's the blog hop line-up:

FCCB #309 - Back To School!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #309-Back to School
Create a project that features anything about school

This Weeks Sponsor

The prize is 4 digital stamps!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

This year is my littlest one's first year of Kindergarten! I can't believe she is really starting... The time goes by so quick! She's really ready though and is looking forward to meeting her teacher and making new friends. Back to school is always an exciting time for my girls (and me ;). I remember buying school supplies and being so excited about the change of seasons. Fall is definitely my favourite! So, for this challenge I knew I wanted to make my girls each a card to celebrate back to school.

I'm using the super cute Bugaboo Digital Stamp 'Ava School Sign It' paired with Cricut cuts from the Classroom- Oct/Nov, Recess and Autumn Celebrations cartridges. I started off by opening the digi stamp in PicMonkey and adding the black on the chalkboard area and the white text over it. I even added some fun chalk effects in the background using the PicMonkey program.

After I printed them both off on white cardstock I used Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, both alcohol based, to colour in the cute Ava image.

I added some Distress Ink sponging around the edges and used a white paint pen to add a few white highlights to the digi image and diecuts.

A few shiny sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps in colours to match gives a little bling!

Inside, I added this fun diecut sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you had a great weekend - it's a holiday for us here today and then 'Back To School' Tuesday!! Be sure to check out all the other fun projects on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and enter your own for a chance to win!
