Kitty Bee Designs - Explore Panda Card!

Hello, and happy Wednesday! I've got a card today that I'm sharing over at the Kitty Bee Designs blog using this adorable Trike Panda Digital Stamp by Kitty Bee Designs. He looked to me like he was ready to head off on an adventure, so I grabbed some older travel themed papers from my stash, and I found the perfect Tim Holtz chit chat sticker as a sentiment!

I used some Prismacolor Markers to colour him up nice and quick. I didn't worry about too much blending - I just added a bit of shading a a few white gel pen highlights.

I punched a couple circles from the papers and added a puffy CTMH star sticker around my sentiment for embellishments.

After adding a bit of SpiegelMom Scraps burlap string and sequins he was ready to head off on his adventure!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the Kitty Bee Designs Etsy shop where you'll find tons of cute stamps, and have a wonderful week!

Pretty Cute Stamps - Donut Fun!

Hi crafty friends!! How is your week going so far? Mine has been full of snow! I can't believe we've still got snow and are almost at the end of April. Well, I guess I need to be thankful for all the wonderful things I do have right now :) And this cute donut card using the Donut Worry, Be Happy stamp from Pretty Cute Stamps made me feel happy too! My 10 year old daughter, Amie went to a friend's birthday party on the weekend at a doughnut shop called Jelly Modern Doughnuts. The kids had a blast decorating donuts! Of course, I thought it only fitting that her little friend got a 'Donut' card ;)

This sentiment, included in the set, is one of my favourites!

I stamped these happy donuts on watercolour paper and coloured them with Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers. I love these markers for watercolouring!

Inside, I used two sentiments from the Wish Big Pretty Cute Stamps set.

I really love decorating the envelope, even if it's with a quick sentiment and image stamped with coloured ink! I added some fun You Are My Sunshine sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps - perfect in keeping with the 'sprinkled' theme.

Here's a look at the amazing donuts Amie decorated at her friend's birthday party. She did a great job, and they were very yummy too!

Here are the two stamp sets I used today:

Wish Big

Thanks so much for stopping by today! You can find lots of inspiration at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog, and be sure to check out the Pretty Cute Stamps Store to find these and so many more awesome stamps!

Butterfly Birthday Wishes!

Hi friends! So sorry I've been away for a few days! Last week we had Grandma come and stay for the week and my oldest daughter, Stephanie, who has been travelling, surprised us on Easter Sunday by coming home!! I had lots of bloggy crafty plans, but decided to put them aside for a week and take some family time.

I do want to share this pretty birthday card with you that I made for my sister's birthday last month. I was at a scrapbook crop and decided to use some of the BoBunny papers I was working with on a layout to make a birthday card. The background paper is just so lovely with the birds, flora and butterflies!

I had also been playing around with some Distress Oxide Inks and turned the background I was working on into a tag base for my focal image. The Oxide Inks also worked to watercolour my rosette ribbon lace a wonderful violet colour!

Inside, I stamped a birthday wish and layered a fussy cut mason jar from the BoBunny collection. The purple DOX ink stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment wonderfully!

A piece of dyed silk ribbon tied up my tag and a bit of Confetti Stickles added some bling to the butterfly from the BoBunny cut apart sheet. I'm very happy to say my sister loved her card!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful, crafty week!

FCCB #299 - Spring!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #299-Spring
Make a project about Spring.

The FCCB Design Team is sponsoring a $25 gift card at

Amazon!

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. If you use a Cricut Explore machine, at least one cut must be from the Cricut catalog of images.

If it isn't a card, you will get two entries into the drawing!

For my project I've created a scrapbook layout using a heart background cutout from the Close To My Heart Artistry Cricut cartridge. There are so many wonderful backgrounds on this cartridge, and you could size them to create cards or layouts! I've had these wonderful photos of my daughter, Amie, for a few years and I figured this was the perfect time to scrapbook them! After all, what says spring more than butterflies and fairies! I based my layout on the February 2016 Sketchy challenge at the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. If you're ever looking for a starting point there are lots of great sketches and inspiration here!

I used my Distress Oxide Inks to sponge over my heart diecut in colours that matched the pretty BoBunny Butterfly Kisses paper. The cutouts in the diecut were lovely with images from the paper showing through. I added some CTMH stamps in different places and layered on some Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.

I love this gorgeous title from a Pink Paislee Take Me Away phrases foam sticker pack. I layered it over a Pink Paislee journaling card and added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and some CTMH bling.

I made a second page with the adorable photos I had from this photo shoot, so I thought I'd share this with you as well! I used a background page from the BoBunny Butterfly Kisses again and layered on lots of fun elements.

I love fussy cutting out images that are on papers and adding them to my layouts. These pretty Pink Paislee branch stickers looked awesome sticking out of the pretty mason jar. And, of course, I love adding SpiegelMom Scraps sequins! How sweet are these yellow flower sequins?!!

This lovely chipboard sticker is from the BoBunny Believe collection - I love the way it coordinates!

I added a Pink Paislee Take Me Away foam sticker title 'Lovely' and used some Stickles to add a bit of bling. Some Distress Oxide Inks add colour to a chipboard tag and a pretty purple ribbon coordinates with the inks and sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week!! Don't forget to stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what all the other Design Team members have come up with - and enter your own Spring project using a Cricut cut for a chance to win!

Easter Greetings!

Happy Saturday! I've got a bright Easter treat bag and tag as well as a few more cards to share with you before Easter.  These sweet digital stamp images from Pretty Cute Stamps were so fun to work with I ended up making lots of fun projects this week. Just check the last few days for more ideas on how to use the new March release stamps!

I always make a special treat bag up for my niece, Sydney, for Easter, and of course I wanted to decorate it! I took a gift bag and layered some papers on it before adding some images from the EGGSellent digi stamp set. Adding some foam dots on different areas always adds some interest.

I've been playing with my Distress Oxide Inks lately and had this tag in my stash just waiting for the right project! I used a stencil, adding some purple dots and used a bit of washi tape on the bottom before layering a sentiment from the digi set. Some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps  added sparkle to both my tag and bag. I absolutely love the little mini flowers <3

Next up, I made these three cards for my youngest daughter, Erica's, preschool teachers using the EGGSellent digi stamp set and colouring with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers.

I used PicMonkey to layer the eggs, add the cracks and even colour the sentiment before printing them on a lightweight white cardstock.

I had some pretty Easter coloured papers in my stash and combined them to create a pretty card front. A few foam dots pop up different elements on the cards.

Inside, I used sentiments from the Pretty Cute Stamps Chocolate Bunny and Easter Blessings digi stamp sets. I print them all out of white cardstock at once and cut them out individually before using some Distress Inks to add some shading.

The last project I used the EGGSellent digi stamp set on was these quick and easy cards for some little family friends. Some pretty sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps adds a bit of bling! Aren't these colours beautiful?!!

I opened up a Project Life card (from the PL app on my phone that I had previously saved) in PicMonkey and then added the digital images from the Pretty Cute Stamps sets. By choosing the PNG version of each sentiment and image I was able to layer them, similar to a masking technique with traditional stamping. It really is very easy and fun! I changed the colour of the sentiments as well. When the stamps were layered as I wanted I printed them out, four to a page on white printer paper and glued them to my card bases.

Here's a look at the finished cards, with sequins and a bit of colour using coloured pencils on the bows.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a very Happy Easter!!

Let's Craft & Create - #124 Easter/April Showers/Spring

Inspiration Saturday!

Happy Weekend!! It's Easter this weekend, and this is the first year for a long time we haven't had a house full of guests for Easter Dinner. I will miss having everyone over, but I'm going to enjoy Easter morning with the girls, an Easter egg hunt, church and turkey dinner! Everyone else is travelling this year and enjoying some warm sunshine over the break. I might even get some crafting in ;) And, here's some inspiration for you!

1) Wilna Furstenberg has the cutest #springcoffeecup album post on her blog! I just love her style <3 She has a video where she walks you through making the album and she also has a challenge going on during April where you can share a coffee cup album you make! Check out her post for all the details.

2) I think Bookbub has been around for a while, but I've just discovered it! You can sign up to receive a daily email showing you what digital books are free from Kindle, Kobo, etc that day in the genre you choose! I love it - I just scan the email, choose the free ones I want and they automatically download onto my device and are ready to read when I have some down time.

3) Verve Stamps has an awesome FREE coffee printable available until April 17th! You can download the PDF or the individual digital stamp files HERE. The PDF is great if you just want to play around with printing the pictures and sentiments off quickly and using your coloured pencils or alcohol based markers on them. I just pop a piece of white cardstock into my printer without changing any paper settings! Then, I cut out the images and use them for cards. There's even a spot to link up your creations for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Verve store!

4) Gerda Steiner Designs has the cutest clear and digital stamps, and right now there's an FREE adorable Easter Bunny image - along with other cute FREEBIES in her store. You can sign up for her newsletter and be notified when a new free image is available as well as receive coupons. You can check out her blog while you're there and get lots of inspiration!!
5) I've been watching a lot of home decor and DIY videos lately, and I came across 4 Quarter Crafts who does some some awesome projects with dollar store finds. Here's a video on Earth Tone Spring Home Decor Crafts for you to check out!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend - and a very Happy Easter!
